After 20 years living and working in Brisbane, I returned to my home town of Toowoomba to be closer to family and friends. I have now been based in Toowoomba for the past 12 years, and began my private practice in 2007.

As a clinical psychologist with over 17 years experience in both the public and private sector, I use an integrated approach to counselling. I incorporate a number of different psychological therapies to enable you to effectively manage your individual situation.

I am committed to providing a caring and courteous service in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Using evidence-based treatments and a range of therapies tailored to the individual’s needs, I treat a broad range of concerns that interfere with cognitive, emotional, social or occupational functioning.

To ensure I keep up to date with psychological practice I attend regular national and international workshops, seminars and conferences, and incorporate this personal and professional development into my daily work.

Experience

Since completing a Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland, I have gained widespread experience in both the public and private sector, working in various hospital settings across South East Queensland.

My practical career began at the Ipswich Hospital where I provided inpatient/outpatient psychological treatment for cardiac, diabetes, chronic pain, trauma and pregnancy cases, and a variety of other issues.

I also worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in the ATODS department treating people with drug and alcohol dependence.

Pregnancy support is another of my specialty areas, with extensive experience providing pregnancy support at the Mater Mothers Hospital. I have also assisted a multitude of obstetricians throughout Toowoomba.

Working as an inpatient psychologist for a private mental unit in Toowoomba, I provided psychological support on an individual and group basis, before moving into my own private practice over 12 years ago.
